The Surgery Department at O’Bleness is equipped and staffed to care for inpatients and outpatients who are undergoing a variety of surgical procedures. Our highly trained surgical team cared for more than 2,500 surgical patients last year in four modern, well-equipped surgical suites and our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit.
Surgeons are credentialed by O'Bleness' medical staff to perform urological, obstetrical, gynecological, orthopedic, ophthalmological, otorhinolaryngological (ear, nose and throat), podiatric and general surgical procedures. Our capabilities include a number of laparoscopic procedures. Our anesthesia staff is also highly trained and works with top-notch equipment to provide anesthesia for surgery patients.
O’Bleness’ surgical patients are prepared for surgery and are monitored during recovery in our inpatient Medical/Surgical Unit or in our Outpatient Center. A waiting area for family and friends of patients undergoing surgery is provided in the main lobby. This area is staffed by hospital volunteers who inform those waiting about patients’ progress.
