O'Bleness Memorial Hospital welcomes urologist, Seymour S. Kilstein, DO, FACOS, to the hospital's active medical staff.

Dr. Kilstein is board-certified and a fellow in urology and urologic surgery. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of disease of the prostate, bladder and kidney.

Dr. Kilstein has operated on thousands of kidney stones and obstructive prostate glands using non-invasive methods for both. He utilizes lasers and performs surgery of the prostate as well as vasectomies as an office procedure.

Dr. Kilstein has joined Atmaram Gawande, MD, FACS, at Athens Urologic Care, which is affiliated with the O’Bleness Health System through Athens Medical Associates. Athens Urologic Care is located at 265 West Union St. in Athens. Along with Dr. Gawande, Dr. Kilstein is accepting males and females of all ages as new patients.

A graduate of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, Pa., Dr. Kilstein practiced urology and urologic surgery in Lancaster, Pa. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Surgeons, Pennsylvania Osteopathic Medical Association and American Urological Association. He was a fellow in urologic surgery at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia.
