O'Bleness Memorial Hospital has a wall-to-wall bargaining unit for our hourly paid employees represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) Local 1252. All employees are free to join or not join the Union. All employees who do not become members of the Union on the day following the completion of their initial probationary period pay a fair share fee to the Union as a condition of employment. The fair share fee is automatic and does not require a written authorization from the employee.
